The
Main Game Views Station View
has two major play areas The Station View and Mission Control. The Station
View is where you can see your own ISS flying 17,000 miles and hour above the
Earth. In this view, you get to review your station design, monitor the overall
station status, and observe astronauts on EVA missions. By highlighting and selecting
modules, you can zoom inside a selected module to see the astronauts in action.
By clicking on the Station Status Panel, you can check the station's air quality,
supply levels and crew status.

Cut-Away
Station View In this zoomed-in "Cut-Away Station View", you can directly
interact with your astronaut crew, commanding them to turn on/off and repair equipment,
perform experiments and interact with their fellow astronauts. By clicking on
the Station Status Panel, you can check the status of the station's air quality,
supply levels and crew status.
In either Station View or Cut-Away Station View, you can cycle through all the
astronauts on the station, seeing each displayed in the lower left panel. Here
you can quickly see your astronaut's most important needs by viewing nine status
lights. The top left icons show the currently selected astronaut's list of assignments
(Tasks), and the order in which he or she will execute them. The top right area
displays the current availability of your six launch vehicles to help you plan
and schedule ISS construction and re-supply missions. At the bottom right is an
area for text display to indicate information about the currently selected component
or astronaut. When you click directly on an astronaut in the lower left, their
stats show up in the lower right indicating that you can then assign another astronaut
to insult, compliment or talk to them. Mission Control Mission
Control is where you plan station design and construction, launch modules and
components, create your crew and manage your flags. When you are accessing Mission
Control functions, the real-time game will pause to allow you time to plan and
make decisions. Mission Control opens up strategic planning where you will face
decisions with risks and rewards!
- Should you favor
one agency over another, but at the risk lowering other international involvement?
- Should
you launch at the risk of safety margins, or spend the extra flags and risk running
out?
- Should you build a new module to expand your station or invest in
new experiments to build up flags?
These examples are just three
of the many choices the player will face. Playing the game will require more than
just real-time quick thinking, it will also require long term strategic planning!
Design
your own Astronauts! Create
your own crew of your own astronaut characters. The astronaut builder provides
dozens of parameters, giving each astronaut character unique personalities, visual
characteristics and training. As you manage your astronauts, they will gain experience
and improve their abilities, providing you with a sense of investment and loyalty.
Stealth Training and Experiments Like
many great games,
provides a wealth of information for the player to discover and use. However,
the information in this game is based upon NASA data about life in space. This
is called Stealth Training, which provides a system for you to explore new ideas
to enhance your understanding, ability, and success in the game. The more you
understand the higher you score! Stealth Training allows us to focus
on broad topics, real technologies, and those key elements that create both exciting
discovery and great game play! Some of these key elements include:
- Manage
air quality through real system controls like scrubbers, O2 candles, Elektron
generators, and more!
- Optimize your cargo runs by reclaiming water, generating
oxygen mechanically and naturally.
- Fine tune your experiments to generate
better technology, public support, and facilitate advancements for new and better
structures!
- Create a self sustaining biosphere in space.
As
in most RTS games, advancing technology is a key element in .
Through successful experiments, you will earn flags that will allow you to purchase
bigger, better, and more advanced modules and equipment for your station.
